All over a property there are many pipes that carry water, gas, waste and electrical cables. If the pipes and conduits are concealed that is fine, as we don’t see them. There are some homes that don’t think the same, but for most of us that want to have a clean and non busy look in the home with room to hang picture frames etc. we don’t want unsightly pipework to spoil it. London Vaillant Boiler Repair tradesmen are fully trained for all plumbing jobs. Many are some options for hiding pipes, or even just fitting them with a disguise. Here are a couple of suggestions. To fit pipes in a Solid Floor you will need to ensure that when you lay the pipes in a solid floor, that there still enough room for the pipes to expand and contract, this would be done with ducting covered over by a metal plate, but always with some form of insulating material. Pipes to be run in concrete can be placed in larger pipes that will act as a conduit. This is done by channeling out of the wall. Then, clip the pipes and cover with a coat of finishing plaster. The channel should be a maximum 1/3 of the depth of the wall. Pipes in Timber Walls can create low frequencies in the timber structure as the water passes through. This is cured by using clips on the pipes with rubber or felt mountings or more insulation. Should the pipes be hard to access, try and make less joints as they create weak points. Make and fit an access panel. London Vaillant Boiler Repairs use skilled professionals. If you are running pipework under Timber Floors do not remove too much wood out of the joists as it weakens the floor. The most that can be cut away is 1/8th of it’s depth. You should also place a pipe close to the load-bearing wall. Make sure that the pipes do not touch. You can limit any noise by using foam or felt between them.
